BRERC provides information on species, sites and habitats for environmental consultants, wildlife recording groups and members of the public. More information on our dedicated Data Searches page.
BRERC staff have extensive experience of using MapInfo Professional, for the presentation and analysis of environmental data.
We specialise in delivering GIS training in the workplace and our courses can be tailored to your organisation's requirements.
For example, we can offer courses for beginners, refresher training, or to cover specific features of MapInfo GIS.
We keep training group sizes small and aim to create a supportive learning environment.
NB. Our GIS courses are aimed at bespoke workplace training for small groups of colleagues; however, we often have volunteer vacancies at BRERC for individuals to gain experience of using MapInfo. See our Volunteers page or Contact us for more information.
Digital mapping using MapInfo Professional (GIS) is an integral part of what we do at BRERC.
We can help you display your data effectively, and create maps in jpeg or GIS format (subject to your licensing agreements with Ordnance Survey).
BRERC have been carrying out ecological surveys since 1974,
and our staff are trained in Phase 1, Priority Habitat and NVC surveying.
